At Legacy Dental Care, our three dentists are also brothers who share a passion for dentistry and caring for our patients. We strive to provide reliable and comfortable dentistry in an atmosphere where patients feel at home.
Part of our mission is to take the fear out of dentistry by developing trusting, long-term relationships with the families we serve. By focusing on prevention, our goal is to help every member of your family avoid many of the oral conditions that put smiles and overall health at risk.

Dr. Jayde Wiedemann
I grew up in Medicine Hat, Alberta. At the time, it was a city of 55,000 but felt very much like a small town. After two years of study at Medicine Hat College, I moved to Edmonton to begin my dental education at the University of Alberta. Upon graduation in 2011, I decided to further my dental training by entering a general practice residency offered by the University of British Columbia. This program, based in Vancouver General Hospital, provided me with the opportunity to further my dental skills and knowledge and gain valuable insight in the ways in which medicine and dentistry work together.
What initially attracted me to dentistry was a love of science combined with the significantly challenging technical component of dentistry. What I did not expect from a dental career was how much social interaction it would involve. This has become my favourite part of my job. I love chatting with and getting to know new people every day.
When I am not working, it is a safe bet I will be spending time with my wife and our two young children.
Dr. Laiton Wiedemann
Dr. Laiton Wiedemann was born and raised in the "small town" of Medicine Hat. He completed his Bachelor of Medical Sciences between the Medicine Hat College and the University of Alberta. In 2014, he graduated from the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry with his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree and moved to Calgary with his soon-to-be wife, Anne-Marie.
Following his two older brothers into the profession, Dr. Wiedemann carries a strong passion and love for dentistry. In his downtime at work, you’ll often find him reading and discussing cases online or researching the latest techniques. He thoroughly enjoys all aspects of practice, but especially connects and works very well with children. He is always on the lookout for quality continuing education courses to improve his skills and deliver the best possible care to his patients.
Outside the office, Dr. Wiedemann enjoys backpacking, playing hockey, snowboarding, and almost any other activity that keeps you active. His wife and their dog Rowdy do their best to keep up.
Dr. Sandon Wiedemann
Dr. Sandon Wiedemann was born and raised in Medicine Hat, Alberta. After high school, he moved to Edmonton where he attended the University of Alberta and graduated with a B.Sc. in Physiology and Development. Dr. Wiedemann then moved across the continent to Cleveland, Ohio where he earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Case Western Reserve in 2013. Upon graduation, he was awarded a scholarship for Excellence in Clinical Achievement. After practicing dentistry in the Cleveland area for a couple of years, he began to miss home and decided to move back to Calgary to spend more time with his family.
Dr. Wiedemann is committed to providing high-quality care in a relaxed environment for every patient. He enjoys all aspects of dentistry and finds having a patient leave an appointment with a smile on their face the most rewarding part. Dr. Wiedemann is also dedicated to continuing his education outside of the office to improve the care he provides and keep up to date with the most advanced techniques and materials available.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Wiedemann enjoys living an active lifestyle and enjoys being close to the mountains for hiking, camping, snowboarding and has recently taken up hockey and curling. During his time in Cleveland, he was involved with many leadership roles and volunteering at the local free clinic and looks forward to giving back similarly to the community of Calgary for years to come.
